How to stay healthy during cold and flu season is such a big topic lately. I learned the hard way as I have been very sick the last 2 to 3 weeks suffering from a cold and a flu. To make matter worse, I also had an upper respiratory infection and have been in and out of the hospital. This also explains why I have been MIA lately with my blog post so I apologize for that. My body is still recovering but I feel a lot better than I was last week.
I want to share some tips and suggestions given by my doctor to avoid being sick. I have defnitely had a decreased in my energy level and my body seems to be out of shape. Once I am 100% percent better, I’ll defnitely get back to my normal routine. Getting my body back to where it used to be is my goal. I have an obstacle course in two months that I need to prepare myself for. My goal is to finish faster than my previous time the last time I did this event. Here are my tips for you so you can avoid this dreaded cold and flu that have been going around.
- Wash your hands frequently
- Avoid sharing objects
- Eat healthier and excercise regularly
- Get enough sleep
- Stay away from people that are already sick
- If you feel like you are going to get sick, stay home and rest
- Load up on vitamins (Vitamin C)
- Keep yourself hydrated
- Keep your surroundings clean
- Get the flu shot
